I'm giving them the opportunity to use this job as a stepping stone into their career but it seems the majority of millennials think they should be netting in $100K+ right off the bat.

I'm a millennial and personally I just wanna work in a place where I genuinely believe in the project. I don't really care what I get paid but money is nice obviously.

And the whole stepping stone thing doesn't always work out unless the company that's paying you 45k is a really reputable one

Probably because they grew up with sitcoms about people having obscenely paying jobs that they don't actually have to attend, and big spacious apartments, thinking that this is what adult life is supposed to be like.

We should be able to live for our own happiness, not for the elite's. It's time to end Capitalism once and for all, it is no longer working. Start creating a proper model of Communism, and implement it. It is the only solution to finding utopia. Our next evolution is coming, it's up to us if we make it a step up or a step down. Godhood or jumping right into the flames of hell is ultimately our decision. A society that puts caring for its people above caring for a few groups is always a happier, healthier, and better society.

Why do people have a bad reaction to a lie they were fed their entire lives? You grow up and are pushed on a very linear path, listening to your authority figures espouse the values of education. Go to school and get a good job. So they did just that and then couldnt find gainful employment that suited their education (and dont give me shit about useless degrees, colleges are terrible job training centers, and a degree is a good indicator that you can absorb and disseminate information, put up with bullshit, and work hard.)

Your parents told you this because thats how life worked for them: college degree into a readily available job that solely provided a good living. But then the economy soured, they stayed in their jobs, and passed you the bill.
