Where I live we have a ban on "pit bull or pit bull-like dogs"

Wrong, there are not several types of Pit Bulls in the lineup. Aside from the American Staffordshire Terrier and Staffordshire Bull Terrier listed the other breeds have no close relation. There is only one actual American Pit Bull Terrier though, saying there is a type of Pit Bull is a misnomer. Also, American Pit Bull Terriers are not large, muscular dogs. They are not walking hulks, they're built more like decathletes. The only thing that is matters when considering what is an American Pit Bull Terrier is the papers, if the lineage does not come from a historic fighting line dog then it is not a Pit Bull. I don't care what the shelters or the backyard breeders say, no papers then it's a bully breed mutt.
