Current Events > How do I watch Power Rangers without filler episodes? (spoilers)

I tried watching it, but many episodes have little to no plot, and are the same old ****. I only want episodes that advance the story, such as the Green Ranger showing up, Lord Zedd, etc.

That's no filler, that's how power rangers is.

Well much of Power Rangers is just that. Insert story with monster of the day. Putties/whatever foot soldier - Fight monster - Monster grows - Zord battle - Repeat

If you just want a list for plot advancement it would be a pretty short list. I can probably do one up for Mighty Morphin....

That would be great, because the show would be better if it kept the story going and wasn't so repetitive.

17-21 - Green with Evil
25 - Life's a Masquerade
26 - Gung Ho!
28-29 - Island of Illusion**
34-35 - The Green Candle
39-40 - Doomsday
49-50 - Return of an Old Friend

Of the 60 episodes in Season 1 I'd say these are all the ones that stick to the main story plot. 19/60

However there are so many in between worth watching.

** The Island of Illusion episodes while introducing a key side villain seen later on, part 2 is mostly a clip show.

Power Rangers damn near created the monster of the week trope, I love Power Rangers but you definitely have to skip around a lot to get to "plot episodes"

* 1-3 are the Masked Rider crossover episodes. It was meant to promote the upcoming series. The characters are never mentioned again following this so do as you will.

* 34 and up are from the finale of the Mighty Morphin series in the Alien Rangers arc.

I read an article before the new movie came out, and it was saying some pretty cool stuff that didn't happen. Particularly; Zordon was the first Red Ranger, the leader of the team that originally sealed Rita Repulsa on the moon back in Jurassic times which is why the Zords were dinosaurs.

Supposedly that was supposed to be like a flashback scene or something.

Uh what? This scene is in the movie. Also the fact that Rita was the original Green Ranger and betrayed the team. That's why she had access to the Power Coin and Zordon didn't.

Actually a lot of fans have a pretty good appreciation about that movie. Pretty much everybody says there should've been way more Power Rangering in general tho

That's pretty much the whole series, but if you just watched the multi part episodes, that would cover the big events.

The movie is actually pretty good, my main gripe with it is the new suits/some designs in general and the ending was kinda rushed.

And then find the original Japanese Super Sentai equivalents and watch those.

Way better than the bastardizations that Americans have done to "Super Sentai"

Nah, Super Sentai is better, but there's no equivalent to the Zordon era or RPM.

It was actually perfectly solid. It's on Hulu and Amazon prime streaming if you got either.
