Thus the reason why they have to carry a purse.

Because fashion for women is not at all utilitarian. Because it's stupid. Also, some of them are made to look like they have pockets, but they don't. Many have pockets maybe big enough to carry a tube of chapstick, but not you know.... a phone, or a wallet, or keys.

NOTE : Not ALL womens fashion exhibits this no pockets issue, but when it comes to pants it seems like only mom jeans have pockets that are deep enough to be useful.
