A lot of casting discussion for IW part 2 tbh. But those were unreliable due to having characters that vanished, which could mean flashbacks or a big revival spree at the end of the movie.

Thanos is a little bitch, Dr. Strange is a fucking moron for giving the stone so easily in exchange for the life of an ASSHOLE, Quill is a fucking moron for punching Thanos in the face when they almost had the gauntlet, Scarlet Witch is a fucking moron for not killing a fucking android that could never even give her a child, and Gamorra is a fucking coward for not having the balls to kill herself and save the universe.

Seriously, the movie was aight, but damn these superheroes are HORRIBLE at their job.

do you not understand what love is? also he can have kids. in the comics he has a wife and children now. I have no idea how that works but.....yea. I haven't read the issues. but I have seen the covers with his family. he found an android wife. they all look like him except a woman or kids

Not really a plot contrivance when they set it up and made it really obvious. We know Dr. Strange's capabilities with the time stone, we see Dr. Strange look into a bunch of possible futures, we see him say "it was the only way" at the end. Since Thanos' snap kills randomly, it's also pretty obvious that Dr. Strange had to follow the path towards the victorious future act for act or it won't kill the right people.

-It's okay because the other dumbass pre-ordained it

because the actual win happens later in Avengers 4. Doctor Strange is looking beyond the scope of this one movie.

it's so awesome having the home version of the movie which makes me notice things i missed the first time around.

eg. when star-lord tells them to get their mean faces on, mantis actually puts on a mean face and keeps it going in the background for a good while XD

the Scarlet Witch and Vision romance is from the comics and is one of the most famous love pairings in Marvel. they were literally married for years. the MCU didn't just make that up. this is like whining if a movie has Superman and Lois Lane in love

On a writing level it's essentially saying "we're not good enough to write a compelling battle between these characters so lets have them literally give up after they do enough of their token CGI moves and say it's okay because he's playing 5D chess and this stilted order of events is his master plan"

I seriously don't understand how anyone can defend those scenes on Thanos' home planet. It's complete garbage.

to be fair, Strange would probably do something similar even in the comics. its just that in the comics, you might find out next month how it plays out. but in the movie, we have to wait a whole year.

even without knowing of their relationship in the comics, the pairing was still executed in a very believable way compared to say hulk and black widow not to mention they already built up to it from civil war.

Thanoses heart is in the right place, but his plan is wrong because all races will just repopulate themselves. He has delayed the inevitable, not prevented it

It's not about having a chessmaster character it's about whether their plan is reasonably necessary.

For example if Batman planned out three months into the future, expertly hacking public transportation systems, manipulating the stock market, and changing the gravitational constant of the universe, all to stop a kid from dropping a gumball, you'd think "that's really stupid."

That's how Infinity War comes off, if somewhat less outrageous. You're telling me out of all the timelines out of like millions... That the only one where they might "succeed" is the one where Strange agrees to the take-off-gauntlet strategy but also lets Thanos speak up and lets Starlord hit him, and also is the one where Strange needs to throw some pointless attacks at Thanos for the lulz before just handing over the time stone, the stone that Thanos would not be able to get Vision's stone without anyway. And that there is not a one of those timelines where because Thanos didn't have all the stones Thor fucking teleport to him and one shots him after his power up. Come on.
