I just beat Persona 3 Portable (PSP) -- 4/10. I gave P3FES a 7/10, but there are just too many things that they made worse in my mind to give this version a positive rating. Took me 187h 20m to beat (I was doing a playthrough topic which added many hours).

I really liked P3FES and was really looking forward to the change where you directly control all party members. That was a definite plus, even though it made it much easier. Unfortunately, I found every other gameplay change to be a negative. The biggest negative being becoming tired in Tartarus does nothing. This really ruined the flow of the game since there's no reason to go as far as possible, leaving long stretches of doing nothing but building SLs, which I find rather boring, since there's no reason (other than the added rescue missions) to head back into Tartarus until the next section opens up.

I really like the progression of collecting, fusing, and powering up your personas, as well as exploring Tartarus, which is why I liked The Answer better than The Journey in P3FES. If I'm ever going to replay this game, it will definitely be on P3FES and not this.

Yeah, FES is the way to go. I only played Portable because I wanted to see how the social links felt with the female protagonist. I could have spent that time doing something way more fun.

I think for myself, just like some random guy on the internet I agree with 100%.

I played VectorMan quite a bit when it was the Genesis demo game at the Toys "R" Us I was working at. I remember getting past a helicopter boss fight, but not much else as far as progress goes. I did like what I played of it.

Guitar Hero 80's shouldn't take long. I think there are only 30 songs.

That's the boss to the first level. It's been some years since I last played it, but there's a good amount of content to be had. Could take you around 2-3 hours if you're trying to collect a lot of stuff.

It was ridiculous that they were charging, I think, $50 when it was released for what's essentially an expansion pack.

That makes sense since I really only ever played it during breaks, which were 15 min long. I vaguely remember there being a good amount of hidden stuff.

Totally. I remember still seeing it full price at Target in the early 2010's when most of the songs were in Rock Band by that time.

Rock the 80's gets my vote yo!

When it comes to games like GH or RB, what are you considering as "finished?"

I've only played RB a couple times, and don't own any entries, so I can't comment on that. But IIRC, GH games definitely have an ending if you complete the required number of songs in every set. I plan on beating it on Hard, at the least, if it wins the poll.

Bah, you can't say you finished it unless you beat every song on expert!!!

I can and I will. :P

I'll probably play it with a standard controller because the guitar controller makes my wrist hurt within 5 minutes. I beat GH2 on expert with a standard controller. Couldn't get past "Holiday in Cambodia" in GH3 on expert with a standard controller.
