Quite poorly, but Mother 3 holds up a lot better.

I still love it, but I really like Dragon Quest's old battle system too. Limited inventory and some of the maze-like maps do hurt it a bit though.

The game is playable, in that everything works the way it's supposed to and if you pay attention you'll do just fine.
You probably won't enjoy it unless you're keen on the game's bizarre style and writing. But if that's your bag you might really like it. I think it's great. --- Sigs are for losers ... Copied to Clipboard!
