My fiancee has been planning a personal wedding in Cancun with literally just both our parents and my brother and her brother. My parents are paying for their own part, I'm paying for my own part. My fiancee wants her parents to pay for hers and their part. Their part for 4 people come to 10grand. They just had a big argument over the phone over this because they dont want to pay anything at all and dont even sound like they dont want to go Feel bad for her. She is the one imposing them to pay thousands of dollars. The least she could do is pay for herself. Sounds super entitled to me. And no, I wouldnt feel bad. I dont depend on others to take care of me. My siblings dont have much so Im happy for whatever help they get. Im more likely to give my parents money than the other way around. My husband and I paid for our wedding out of our own pockets. Any gifts we received were appreciated, but never required.
