In usual Matthew Vaughn style, the cinematography was great, the action scenes/choreography were cool, the special effects were neat most of the time.
But my god, the writing was so garbage. The story, the characters, the script in general was just so bad that it overshadowed the good aspects of the movie. While not outright terrible, the movie overall was more slightly below mediocre for me. Even though the first movie is far from perfect, I still love it and really wanted the second one to be good as well. This was Matthew Vaughn's first sequel and it definitely shows. The action was so good that I mostly enjoyed it overall. Whiskey (lasso cowboy guy) was MVP for me.
