No, 2 is undeniably the worst SW movie. 3 is way better than what most people give it credit for

I really don't care how you rank the rest, but 8 is dead last every time. The others are mostly interchangable for me. I'd classify them all as "ok" with 8 being "really fucking bad"

I'd put 3 ahead of 8, but I didn't hate 8. It has some pretty glaring flaws but I don't think it was bad overall

5>4>6=7>RO>8>1>3>2>>>Solo

To me RotJ and TFA are tied because RotJ is overall a better SW movie, but TFA is a better more consistent movie on its own. RotJ has higher highs and lower lows, TFA is more consistent.

I personally despise the PT and understand why people hated TPM so much. It's not a good movie, but I think it gets more things right than people give it credit for. Practical sets at least make it feel like the same universe even if it looks wildly different. The only film in the PT with decent acting, awesome choreography to lightsaber duel, and well directed, clean and easy to follow action sequences. Episode II and III are so ugly and headache inducing when it comes to the action scenes even if RotS gives you more bang for you buck on that front.

Solo is an abomination imo.

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Return of the Jedi
3. The Last Jedi
4. A New Hope
5. Rogue One
6. Revenge of the Sith
7. The Force Awakens
8. Solo
9. The Phantom Menace
10. Attack of the Clones

The only one I actively dislike is AotC. I think ESB is the only one with no real big flaws. Whenever I do these lists I feel bad for underrating A New Hope but I find that one a bit slow after the sequels.

5>6>4>RO>8>7>1>3>2 for me.

I haven't bothered to watch the middle act of RotJ in probably a decade, but the movie still has most of my favorite moments in the franchise. TPM gets an edge over RotS because when it came out, it was at least a spectacle. By the time RotS came out, the franchise was dead for me and I got little to no enjoyment out of the movie; the technicality of being the least-smelly turd out of the PT didn't do it any favors in my book. Similarly, while TFA was a modestly entertaining movie, it did next to nothing to stoke my passions. Last Jedi, for all its numerous flaws, did a number of things I liked (mostly in the form of throwing out TFA's boring retreads in a surprisingly spectacular fashion), and actually kept the spark of interest going that RO's third act has surprisingly rekindled.

This. TPM problem is it's insanely boring for stretches and Jar Jar but otherwise it's fine. Even kid Anakin doesn't bother me that much.

RotS I had just given up on SW at that point. I was in high school when RotS came out and when I saw it I made peace with the fact that the PT just never came together, it just sucked and since at the time George said that was the last one I had moved on from SW in my mind.

I happen to really like the ST though so I've rekindled my love of SW.

See I'm in a similar boat with the Sequels. I suppose it helps that I was young when the Prequels came out, so I couldn't that tell they were bad. But even over the years when I've rewatched them, I've found the bad stuff easy to ignore. The Sequels just haven't given me much to care about so far.

This is true.

Also lol at pretending prequels are worse than the sequels.

3 mostly just needed better acting and better directing. A few things were too abrupt or could have used a lampshade ("What have I done?" Saved a man from execution without trial? Hey maybe you're not evil afterall!) but I mean the story is mostly ok and really a reshoot could fix all its biggest problems.

1 had bad dialog and annoying characters in addition to those problems, and also didn't really have a good story either. I did like QGJ though.

I mean, they're not great films, but you know, it could be worse.

2, though. Hoo buddy. 2 is one of the worst movies ever made. It has more plot holes and mistakes than your standard MST3K fare. South in space. Sonic weapons in space. The monster that disarms the Jedi by hitting the blade of his lightsaber. "Patience, trust the force." *jumps out the 1000th floor window* Can't detect the assassin sneaking up from behind while looking for a threat, detects millipede in another room while distracted by an argument. Stupidly convenient resolution to problems nobody knew existed. Useless characters spend the whole movie meditating or rolling in flowers, despite being the main characters of the film--at least, in theory. HC pausing every couple of words for no reason.

The only redeeming feature about the prequels is that they had cool lore ideas. Barring the throwaway (and blown way out of proportion) midichlorian line, they did have cool worldbuilding. They just didn't have anything else worth seeing. Like, they could have just been a concept art book really.
