Made a game last weekend that pulls from an archive of a bunch of 40s-80s videos. There's a bunch of war videos and they're really weird. This one is apparently to train the Navy (and the public) about the evil Japanese, but all the footage they show looks totally wholesome and nice. Plus they make the Shinto religion sound totally badass with Amaterasu and such. Really weird juxtaposition. Propaganda has gotten way stronger nowadays.

That's a much better argument than most economic analyses. The main flaw is that it's somehow giving the court case all the credit for abortion, which is a thing humans have been doing for thousands of years. Same with women working and building industry.

But reproductive rights are definitely an economic issue, like all other rights we argue about. There's no real significant morality involved.

This is dumb because it's an additive argument. Each born baby = +1 to the economy. But the abortion argument is multiplicative, it enables the other 50% of the population to enter the economy, so it's 2x whatever the population is. Each born baby would thus be +2, or rather it would be +1 where previously it would be +0.5 (0 or 1 depending on sex). So you are arguing that you want both abortion AND higher birth rates (and higher immigration, etc).

What % of women do you think never work in the first place because they're afraid of getting pregnant and/or immediately stop working upon their first pregnancy and never return?

If you do out all the math you probably get to less than 10% of women who were actually affected by this, but once again, they aren't considering the benefit of every additional life that would have been saved without abortion. They're literally adding the economic benefit while completely ignoring the economic cost.

Like I said the argument is bad because it's attributing 100% to the court case and abortion specifically, when it's really a bunch of reproductive tech that all contributes to women working.

But your argument is about a totally linear cost vs a geometric benefit. It stands no chance, AND it also promotes all kinds of things you hate.

A better argument would be the eugeni-- I mean biological truth argument. Some humans are far more valued in the economy than others, so we can attribute the economic gain to them. White men for example can get 90% of the credit, while white women can get like 5%, and then all the other races can share the other 5%. Thus, every aborted white man is a massive cost that not even 15 women or immigrants could hope to replace.
