Ok, I don't watch FOX news. I mainly listen to the news on the radio now. It's the one forgotten piece of media that isn't quite hip to the younger crowd.

Since the MTV generation and beyond, the television "news" has been drastically getting worse and worse. Remember when CNN was a boring channel? C'mon 90s kids...back me up on this one. In fact, I remember watching CNN the day before 9/11 and Larry King was interviewing Oprah and I was bored to tears. They used to report on real news. They used to care more about the stock market. They used to have interviews that were informative...yet, not entertaining. Real news is boring.

CNN had to keep up with the times. Compete with the internet. Compete with other channels. Compete with the Honey Boo Boo's of the world. Even Larry King, the former face of CNN, says they're a joke now. Literally called them "Cartoon Network." The previous generation is DYING that journalism has killed itself.

CNN is a tabloid.

I'll vouch for all of this but it doesn't prove the point you're trying to prove. History channel isn't really about history anymore. Discovery is mostly wilderness survival shows now. TLC is utter garbage but I don't remember what it used to be. MTV is garbage. AMC literally stands for "American Movie Classics" and used to play old movies from the 60s and earlier. They had to rebrand to keep up. So yeah, it's all about ratings, sure. How you think you can actually use this to convince anyone "mainstream media is all fake news" is laughable and beyond comprehension. "Don't believe news, people. Believe a pathological liar!" You're saying this as if people don't already realize that. It's not some shocking revelation that they did this, and likewise, Trump running and eventually winning the Presidency has helped their numbers and make FAR more money than they have had he never gotten involved in the first place.

But that does not mean everything that comes from them and every person on the network is fake and that it's all bullshit. Nor does it somehow validate far more biased and garbage sources, specifically those you find in quick 8 minute YouTube clips that already confirm your biases.
