Getting a house phone was cheaper when getting cable and internet. It is cheaper by $10 a month to get a house phone than to not have one.

I think about 10 years. I remember having a hell of a time when I first got it because the previous owner had tons of debt. I ended up having to go to the collection agency, show them my phone contract, and demand they stop calling me.

Well, my previous number I had since 2001...but I lost the phone in 2012 and by the time I could re-new AT&T gave the number away. So 11 years was the longest I had the same number (Cell)

Now, the longest I've had my business number is going on 7 years and my cell is 3 years.

I think I'm coming up on 13 years with my number.

I also think, only once out of the handful of times someone called with the wrong number, I got someone suggesting, not asking, that I had only just acquired this number when I had it for several years by that point. Ah well.

Lol. 1 number, house phone, whole life.

15-16yrs maybe now, would be a couple years longer but I gave an old phone to my mum when I got my first upgrade and it was too hard to get numbers transferred back then so I just used the new SIM.
