Story wise? 3 > 1 > 2 > 4 > 5
Gameplay-wise? 5 = 3 > 2 > 4 > 1

I'd argue that 5 is better than 3 gameplay wise, but 5 just dragged on for ages and after awhile it felt like I was doing the exact same thing in the exact same places over and over again, so that loses it points for me. At least with 3 I felt like I was actually making progress.

[edit] I just realized this makes it look like I really don't like 4, when I actually love it for some reason. In terms of my (personal) overall ratings I'd probably go -

3 > 2 > 4 > 5 > 1

- No boss battles
- Uninteresting areas
- Repetitive gameplay focused on collecting in place of stealth
- CQC downgrade from MGS4
- Overly easy if you have any kind of brain

Yeah, its the "best".

I will say that FOB raids are the best stealth action in the series, period, but they are still untied and unimmersive to the main aspect of the series, the story. But they are alot of fun and intense.

You're not doing the typical sneaking you get in Acts 1 and 2. In Act 3 you're trailing someone. In Act 4, you're trying to avoid the Dwarf Geckos. And that's it. Act 5 has one tiny part where you're in Caution phase the entire time and you never get back to the same gameplay Acts 1 and 2 had after you've left them.
