or favor people who are the same race as me? Being a juror is a fucking waste of time imo. I don't know why they just can't make this optional and those who want to be a juror should be in the group that would possibly be chosen and this saves time for people who don't want to do it.

In my experience, they interview everyone as a group and you raise your hand for yes and don't for no. Any question you answered was in front of like 50 other people. You do get asked if you have a bias against race, and answering yes pretty much eliminates your chances of making the jury, but you do so in front of a lot more people of different races, depending on where you live, that could result in a confrontation or worse.

Yup, and most times they do it as a group so people have a harder time trying to get out of jury duty.

It's actually not bad but, the easiest way out would be to just Google the case and claim knowledge of it. Most of the people who were excused when I was on a jury knew one of the plaintiffs because he held a sort of district-wide church position apart from owning a business.
