I don't see what the problem is. It's one day, piss in a bottle. Looks like he's obviously doing you a favor and your getting a whole new toliet and who knows what else.

That sounds highly illegal. Your landlord can't just waltz in to fix things without notice, especially something that is considered essential like a bathroom.

lol, that's the old toilet that he removed to remodel the rest of the bathroom

the point is, he's remodeling my bathroom while forbidding me access to other bathrooms other than the communal toilet

like, I don't even know where they put my soap, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. they just fucking tore out my bathroom, and the only warning was:

"Hey guys, just a heads up - starting tomorrow a contractor will be start working on the cracked bathtub. You won't be able to use the shower starting tomorrow night until Tuesday evening, so please be advised "

Fuck your landlord. Mine did the same thing a year ago without any warning. He turned out to be awful and I had to move out.

Cracked bath tubs can cause water damage so it needs fixing. It also sounds like you have a toilet to use so one day shouldnt be a big deal. Get a rag and take a sink bath if you have to.

Hmmmmm. Still not really seeing the issue here besides your stuff being misplaced. Like what good would more notice have done, you still have to shit and piss every day, at least one day you're going to be out of a bathroom regardless of how much notice you get.

And what is the "communal" toliet and where are these other bathrooms your not allowed to use?

I recently got a non-for-profit organization to fix my bathroom floor

unfortunately they are understaffed. 3 weeks have passed and they have come back to finish the job. This includes putting the bathroom sink back in.

The toilet tilted when you sat on it due to the floor....supposedly, apparently the flange that held the toilet was plastic and had broke.

I notice the water collect on the same side as it did before. The problem is not fixed. Even with the flange/floor replaced.

My 30+ year old toilet is leaking, and that is couple with poor performance and perfectly new wax seals. IT looks like there is some damage or wear on the left of the toilets base, that would explain the lowered water pressure. I will need to tell him about this.

He's a live-in landlord. He has the master bath, and he refuses to let us use its shower while ours is down.

Yes, us plural. He rents two rooms, and both of us share the disassembled bathroom.

The tub is cracked it is a safety hazard and a mold hazard it needs to be fixed and one day is a small amount of time to ask to do it.

do you know if he's fixing this himself?

i've had similar work done on my apt bathroom and they just bring in a plumbing crew to fix it in a couple hours. by the time i got home it was taken care of.

Fair point but a bathroom that small shouldnt take very long. Heck the toilet and sink could be put in in under an hour.

Well tubs take a while longer as they are not fast to replace, but still not a huge amount so one day should be good, but it may need time to dry before becoming useable.
