A) Help Rio, these guys mean trouble

You can't be exact, but there's at least four masked men surrounding Rio. It's hard to see through the smoke, but you see Rio's Empoleon taking on two pokemon. A third approaches from behind, you look to Cubone and nod your head. Cubone leaps foward throwing its club at the enemy pokemon. The enemy pokemon hits the floor, the bone bounces off its head and back into Cubone's hand. You run closer and stand behind Rio. You get a better view of the pokemon you're battling.
"Timburr, the Muscular Pokemon. These Pokmon appear at building sites and help out with construction. They always carry squared logs. It fights by swinging a piece of lumber around. It is close to evolving when it can handle the lumber without difficulty.
"A Timburr huh." you say to yourself as the Timburr and its trainer come closer, the trainer appears to be wearing a Lucario mask. It's hard to hear among the chaos, but you can hear his muffled yells insulting you.

"You wanna play hero kid? Fine by me." he says as Timburr rushes towards Cubone. "Pound it!" Timburr lifts its wood block overhead and prepares to swing.
"Cubone get back!" Cubone leaps backwards, Timburr's attack misses, the woodblock hits the ground causing Timburr to freeze up from the impact. "Hit him quick with an iron head!" you command. Cubone runs forward and leaps towards Timburr, his skull shines a bright silver.
"Block it Timburr, reversal!" Timburr drops its woodblock and drops onto its back. Cubone flies over the Timburr. Timburr reaches up and grabs Cubone by the shoulders, the muscular pokemon uses Cubone's momentum against him and flips him onto the floor. Cubone hits the floor with a thud and quickly rolls over and back onto his feet.

Out of the corner of your right eye you see that the fourth enemy trainer is being battled by someone. The enemy is wearing a Totodile mask and using a Blitzle, his opponent is a boy around your age using a white Sandshrew. While you can't see him, you can hear Rio commanding his pokemon behind you. He yells for Empoleon and Vaporeon to combine their hydro pumps. Some of the water splashes your back. A fifth masked man appears to your left, he rushes towards Rio's blindspot with no pokemon of his own.
"Rio behind you!" you yell before shifting your focus back to the battle in front of you.

The enemy Timburr is repeatedly swinging his woodblock around, Cubone does his best to dodge but takes a hit to the side and falls to the floor.
"Finish him off Timburr! Pound him into the dirt!" the Lucario mask yells as Timburr stands over Cubone, its woodblock rising overhead.
"Block it Cubone!" you respond as Timburr slams down his woodblock. There's a loud smack sound as Cubone blocks the woodblock strike with his boneclub in both hands. Cubone remains on his back, Timburr applying more pressure in an attempt to win the standoff. You can see Cubone struggling against the fighting type's strength. You have to figure out something fast or Cubone is done for. "Cubone shift your club to the side!" Cubone drops his left arm down a few inches, Timburr's momentum sends his woodblock sliding down to the floor, left of Cubone. Freed from Timburr's grasp, Cubone holds his bone club in his left hand and wacks Timburr in the back of the leg. Timburr falls to one knee, it reaches for its leg. "Quickly Cubone, iron head!" Cubone's skull flashes a bright silver once again as he grabs Timburr by the shoulders and reels his head back. There's a loud thud as Cubone knocks the Timburr to the floor. The Lucario mask recalls his pokemon and looks to his fallen comrades.
"Whatever, we got what we came here for!" he and his partners flee. You can see

You look back to Rio, he gives chase but is immediately cut off by another explosion. You hear distorted laughter. A man in a Hypno masks stands atop a building to your right. He wears a heavy oversized black coat.
"You did well, but this battle was already over." he opens his coat, a seemingly endless amount of zubat fly out from his beneath his coat. They rush you, Rio, and the other young man. The three of you defend yourselves only to find the zubatsare nothing but an illusion, by the time you realize this however the man in the Hypno mask is gone.

You look to an angry Rio.
"They took it. They took the lance." he says as you notice the Lance of Wagner is gone.

What do you do?
A) They couldn't have gone too far, chase after them
B) The city is still in danger, prioritize putting out the fires
C) It's too dangerous to go after them, let Rio handle it

Also of note: To make good use of Trick, we should give Pumpkaboo an item to hold.

Funny enough, I could see trying to regain a stolen item by using trick to switch it with whatever Pumps is holding. Would be hilarious to pull off now, but I dunno if I could come up with a good plan for that.

Trick or Treat can be useful if paired with Shinx's Night Slash.

B) The city is still in danger, prioritize putting out the fires

Rio starts to chase after them but you urgently call his name. You point at a nearby building surrounded by fire, inside is a group of three children crying for help. You're not sure how long they've been there but one of them is unconscious. Rio grits his teeth.
"Dammit." he mutters to himself before pointing at the burning building. "Empoleon get in there, Vaporeon provide cover." he orders as Empoleon jets forward, propelling himself with a stream of water forming behind him. As he closes in on the building, Vaporeon blasts the flaming debris and rubble around him. Empoleon grabs the children and makes a quick exit as the building behind him.

Rio calls you and the other trainer over.
"Thanks for the help, but you two are a liability right now. Get these kids to safety and leave the fire to me." he says before instructing Empoleon and Vaporeon to start putting out the flames. Rio disappears into the smoke as you and the other trainer rush the children away from the fire. You're holding the unconscious boy in your arms as Cubone and the other trainer's Sandshrew clear the way.

As you run for safety, a large building suddenly topples over and momentarily blocks your path. Cubone prepares to clear a path only to be knocked to the ground by a gust of wind. You look over and find two figures standing in the heatwaves.
"You two are interesting." a younger man in a Hydreigon masks his way towards you, at his side is a large black bird pokemon.
"Vullaby, the Diapered Pokmon. Its wings are too tiny to allow it to fly. As the time approaches for it to evolve, it discards the bones it was wearing. They tend to guard their posteriors with suitable bones they have found. They pursue weak Pokmon."
"You both had the chance to flee, yet you stayed behind to play hero. Well I wanna play too." his Vullaby starts laughing as they close in on you. The other trainer puts his hand on your shoulder and steps in front of you.
"Leave this to me, you get the kid to safety." he says sending his Sandshrew into battle.

What do you do?
A) Leave the masked man to other trainer, focus on getting the kid out of here
B) It's too dangerous to leave anyone behind, stay and fight together
C) It's too dangerous to fight, convince the other trainer to run with you
D) Object to the other trainer's offer, tell him to take the children to safety while you battle the masked man

C, then D if that doesn't work. Not an ideal time for his battle debut, but Shinx will probably have an easier time with this match-up.

A) Leave the masked man to other trainer, focus on getting the kid out of here

You're not sure leaving the other trainer behind is the best idea, but you have to make sure the kid is okay. You nod in agreement and run off with the children. There don't appear to be any other masked men. Eventually you clear the fire and find yourself at the Pokemon Center. A large group of people has assembled in and around the center. From outside the Center you can see a new report of footage from the fire. You yell for help, a man calls you over to a makeshift medical tent.

You make your way into the tent, it's mostly full of children and elderly people. You notice Jude among the volunteers. You call her name but she's so caught up in the chaos that she doesn't hear you.

In the distance you hear the sirens of fire trucks and police cars, behind them are media. You see a couple reporters setting up and interviewing the locals. You recognize one of them from a station your parents watch, Louis Hughs. The media mobilizes quickly as you turn your attention to the child you brought in. A doctor introduces himself to you as Dr. Palmer, he asks you what happened. You explain how he was unconscious when Rio found them. The other two children inform you his name Rudd, they then introduce themselves as John and Brie and Rucci.

Rudd tosses and turns on the cot.
"You found him unconscious?" the doctor places ammonia under his nose, no response.
"Yeah, like I said earlier, Rio found the kids in a burning building. Jordan was already unconscious when we got to him. I assumed he fainted from the heat." Brie shakes his head.
"He was asleep before the explosions." she explains. Dr. Palmer looks to her.
"Asleep?" he asks as Rucci nods his head.
"Yeah, we missed the parade because Rudd said he was sleepy and went to find a place to nap."
"Interesting, if he's still asleep this might be more serious than I initially thought. I'll have to transport him to a hospital once this mess is over." he says right before an small explosion catches everyone's attention.

You look over to find Louis Hugh's cameraman throwing his burning equipment to the floor. An electric streaks flies through the air and travels throughout the media equipment breaking them in a similar fashion. The streak flies above the medical tent. All the radio equipment turns on, you can hear the sound of your PokeGear App turning on, a distorted voice sounds from the radios.

"Ladies and gentlemen of Harmo." it's the voice of the Hypno mask. "I do hope you've enjoyed the debut episode of Pirate Radio." he laughs. "I know Samba Village has." he laughs. "But fret not listeners at home, for the Lance of Wagner was but the first stop on Team Static's Dream tour of the Harmo region! Stay tuned for more." the radio transmission dies out.

The crowd around you grows scared. You can hear people starting to freak out. A confused panic breaks out among the crowd.
"Team Static?"
"The Lance?"

Suddenly the members of the media rush forward, pens and paper in hand, their electronics out of commission. You look over and see Rio and the other trainer from earlier. Both are looking banged up. Rio pushes aside the media, he has to help the other trainer to the medical tent. Rio storms off angrily towards the Pokemon Center, the media follows.

What do you do?
A) Go check on Jude
B) Go check on the other trainer
C) Go check on Rio

Might as well thank him for what he did to help you get the children to safety. Jude's busy and Rio doesn't look like he's in the mood right now.

You head over to the trainer Rio dropped off, he looks angry. He looks to you.
"How are the kids?" he asks, his voice matching his expression.
"Two of them are okay, the third seems to be sleeping."
"Good." he says before turning his attention away from you. You're not exactly feeling welcome, but you press on.
"I just came over here to say thanks. We weren't really sure what we were up against and you gave us an opening to get out of there. Who knows what would have happened if you hadn't stayed behind."
"You would have lost." he turns his back to you. The smart thing to do would be walk away.
"Excuse me?" you're not at your brightest right now.
"You would have lost." he turns to face you. "I saw your battle with that grunt, you could barely handle him, no way you would have beaten that guy with the Vullaby."
"Whoa, I saw your battle against that guy in the Totodile mask, you weren't exactly doing to hot yourself." the other trainer grows visibly angrier. Suddenly it hits you. "He beat you, that guy in the Hydregion mask beat you." the other trainer grows silent.
"You wouldn't have lasted half as long as I did."

What do you do?
A) Challenge him to a battle
B) Walk away, go find Rio
C) Walk away, go find Jude
D) Go check on the kid

"Hey man, I just came over here to thank you for your help, but don't get all pissy with me because you couldn't win." you can feel your temper rising.
"You think you would have done better?" he gets in your face.
"Yeah. I would have." you stand eye to eye.
"Talk is easy." he responds.
"Yeah it is. Let's get to it then." you reach for Cubone's pokeball.

You're suddenly pulled apart. You look over and see Dr. Palmer holding you back.
"This isn't the place." he shakes his head. "You two are so wrapped in your own egos that you haven't even bothered to think about how your pokemon feel." you pull your hand away from Cubone's pokeball. "In all this chaos have you even checked up on your pokemon? And yet the two are so eager to prove you're the better trainer that you're willing to send tired and injured pokemon into battle?" you lower your head.

You apologize to Dr. Palmer. You try to apologize to the other trainer, but the two of you exchange glares instead. He breaks the silence.
"Samba Park, tonight at 7. I'll be waiting." he walks away.

What do you do?

C) Go find Jude
D) Go check on the kid

It will be interesting trying to get held items, especially for Pumpkaboo. People in games tend to just hand them out.

I wanted to thank the TC. I always am into a good CYOA, even wrote my own (not claiming goodness) a while back.

As for current actions and story.
Interesting with these legendary weapons and Team Static. I would assume the kid has his Sandshrew still, but who knows. I don't know if they steal pokemon.

I only chose to battle thinking it'd be interesting if we become a dickish, but not evil, trainer. But either way is fine with me. I suppose I just enjoyed the change of pace.

Really should start being more specific on Pokemon, poor Plumps hasn't gotten much traction, and she desperately needs to lvl up and get more moves.

Thought we'd grind in the desert, hopefully we get some chance to train or something.

We can use potions on Cubone, instead of taking time and resources the center will need in the aftermath.

Whatever happens, I don't want to miss this battle.

Dr. Palmer looks to you waiting for your response. You take a deep breath to calm your nerves.
"What are you going to do?" he asks.
"First I'm going to head to the Pokemon Center, after that I'll figure things out." Dr. Palmer gives you a reassuring nod before walking towards his next patient. You leave the medical tent and make your way towards the Pokemon Center.

The Pokemon Center is just as chaotic as the medical tent if not more so. There's a mob of people trying to get their pokemon looked at, but the small staff can only handle so much at a time. You eventually make to the front desk. You hand over Cubone's pokeball, the rest of your team should be fine and you don't want to create more of a burden for the staff. The receptionist tells you they'll call you once your Cubone is taken care of, but that it might take some time due to the unusually high amount of patients.

With time to kill before Cubone is healed, you head back to the medical tent area to look for Jude. You find her outside of the tented area taking what appears to be a quick rest. Her face is buried in her hands, she's no doubt stressed out by the chaos around her.
"Came to check on you. Everything okay?" you ask getting her attention. She turns around tries to smile but it's lost to exhaustion.
"I feel so helpless." she shakes her head, her eyes staring into the dirt.
Why?
"We're so under-supplied and there's so many patients. I was so overwhelmed I couldn't stop shaking, the other doctors and nurses told me to step outside. I feel like a failure." she starts to cry. Youre not really sure what to say. You put your arm around her, she cries on your shoulder for a second before tensing up, she brings her fists up, her arms tremble. This is going to be weird. she says before putting her mouth to your shoulder.
What are you do-She lets out a muffled scream. She backs away from you calmed and ready. She looks to you, her face bright red.
I needed to get that out. she laughs. You look at your wet shoulder and back then to her before laughing. Thanks for coming to see me, but I really need to get back there. Ill talk to you later. she runs off towards the tent almost tripping over her own feet on the way. You didnt see that! she yells before entering the tent.

You enter the tent, things have calmed down since your earlier visit but even now things are a mess. People looking for loved ones, screams of pain, doctors yelling orders, it all blends together. Yet through all the noise Rudd sleeps. You make your way over to the boy hes been hooked up to some machines, Dr. Palmer standing over him.
Any signs of improvement? you ask.
Its a coma. Dr. Palmer informs you. The two of you sit in what silence you can find among the chaos. The silence is quickly interrupted by a couples screaming.
My baby! the woman yells. You turn around to find an older couple. You assume their his parents.

What do you do?
A) Leave, let Dr. Palmer do his job
B) Stick around and hear who they are
C) Head back to the Pokemon Center

Also I just noticed something >_> When I first introduced Rudd I wasn't sure what to call him and Jordan was one of the options. In the earlier update I accidentally called him Jordan twice. He's Rudd. <_<
