Cheap hotel towels are the worst. I never feel totally dry using them

Am I the only one who feels like ALL the towels at bed bath and beyond are like that? They're absolutely terrible.

I love those slightly rough towels with the really nice texture that completely soak up the water after you dry off from a shower. They're always hard to find.

I completely agree. I usually just get mine from target or Walmart. Still, I buy one first to test it, and then I go back for more when I realize its the right type.

Seems like the more expensive the towel, the shittier of a job it does drying.

What kind of material are they made of? Synthetic fabric towels are basically useless. If it's not 100% cotton you'd be better off drying yourself with toilet paper.

Yeah, really.

In my experience hotel room towels are usually great. They've been washed probably thousands of times so all the chemical treatments and dyes, etc.. that are used to keep them dry during shipping are long gone. They have also been washed enough times to no longer be prone to shedding.

I wish it was feasible to use micro fiber towels because they do a great job of drying and don't shed but I don't know if you are even supposed to wash those and how much they would degrade if you did.

The ones Im talking about all claim to be 100% cotton. If there was nylon or polyester, then I would understand, but its not absorbing cotton.

Likewise I actually think hotel towels are pretty good at drying. While I'm always grossed out by the concept of using a towel thousands of others have used that not even industrial cleaning can shake off, I like how they're able to really absorb the moisture after a shower. I just want my own bathroom towels to be like that.
