But sonic 2 was the only old school one i played so im biased

I adore Mushroom Hill.

That stage just has so many moving pieces and small details that make me love it.

Like how the spores come out of the grass you run through. Or the way the stage changes from summer to fall, or how Robotnik is integrated into the stage itself as an object.

Theyre all so good though I wouldn't separate them by any signifcant degree.
