So I just started to recently look into some recent comic books and I found this one. Spiderman: Amazing orgins: https://www.ebay.com/itm/391804806953?ul_noapp=true

For those who read it, is it its own self contained story by any chance? Cause im looking into just reading it for the heck of it since I love Spiderman, and im just in need of more comics to read and such.

Going by the description and what I can find on the wiki, it is a retelling of Spider-Man's origins, the first chapter of which was released in 2012 for free, this being a compilation of all chapters?

From what I read, it would be a good self-contained starting point that is in-line with 616 canon.

*Spider-Man. Don't deny the power of the hyphen.

Most paperback collections like that can be read as a stand-alone story. That particular one seems to have mixed reviews, but I've never read it.

So it is only a self contained story?

I would assume it covers the origin of Peter's powers and a few first run-ins with early rogues. The wiki is exceptionally vague on the comic, so I can theorize little more.
