Any Trumpster who stands by him after today should be ashamed.

Bob Corker: "Made us look like a pushover" " Putin gained a tremendous amount today and was probably eating caviar on the plane home."

John McCain: "One of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory."

Lindsey Graham: "This answer by President Trump will be seen by Russia as a sign of weakness and create far more problems than it solves."

Jeff FLake: "I never thought I would see the day when our American President would stand on the stage with the Russian President and place blame on the United States for Russian aggression. This is shameful"

Paul Ryan: There is no question that Russia interfered in our election and continues attempts to undermine democracy here and around the world. That is not just the finding of the American intelligence community but also the House Committee on Intelligence. The president must appreciate that Russia is not our ally. There is no moral equivalence between the United States and Russia, which remains hostile to our most basic values and ideals. The United States must be focused on holding Russia accountable and putting an end to its vile attacks on democracy.

Tired of winning yet??

The rollercoaster that is my feelings that my first vote ever was for Paul Ryan's first term is bizarre beyond belief.

I went from being blissfully ignorant to shameful to now "well at least he sometimes chooses country over party."

I wish he wouldn't retire. The idea of a Trumpian yes-man as Speaker is nauseating. Considering the vile Republican attempts to outright sabotage health care it really emphasizes how horrible Trump really is that I am praising Paul Ryan.

Look okay the shameful attacks on John McCain by Trump's thralls. People need to wake up before we have a literal dictator. It is long past time to stop underestimating what Trump is capable of.

Decades of alliances and international cooperation are at risk, even beyond the war to delegitimize opposition votes.

Confused by this post. Paul Ryan already is a Yes Man speaker for Trump. Sabotaging healthcare has been a goal of his all along. And he's always been open about how much he idolizes Ayn Rand and her philosophy of "fuck every else."
You seem to think something about him is different than was ever presented, or that he's somehow not everything you already fear about the next speaker.

At one point, Boehner became the leader because the last guy was a "RINO"
Then Boehner became a "RINO" and was replaced by Ryan, who is now also a "RINO" and will soon be replaced.
And none of them significantly changed their positions from the start of their tenures. If anything, they tended to shift to the right slightly.

Yeah, a dictator would absolutely hate it if regulations impacting his ability to exercise his power, or that force his wealthy allies to adhere to safety standards at the expense of some of their money were to be rolled back.

Extreme nationalism, denigrates the media and threatens journalists and political opponents, verbally attacks American citizens and small businesses, ignores bills Congress passed and he signed, slams our allies while praising dictators, says he might not accept election results, tried to fire the man investigating him, says he has the right to pardon himself, encourages violence, removes protections from certain groups, plays footsie with white nationalists, etc.

Should I continue?

1) He won the Electoral Vote, an outdated process that only burns the people more than it represents them. He did not win the popular vote, even again Hillary (who should still have lost as well).

2) It's his actions and words combined that make him akin to a dictator, not the political divide in this country that additionally got turned up to 11 in recent years. His desire for a military parade (for his own sake, not the military's honor); his love (for a lack of a better word) for Putin and Kim Jong Un, as opposed to more democratic leaders around the world; his calling of the presses as an enemy of the country, despite the First Amendment stating otherwise (and subsequent murder of several members of the press not even a week later); and more. Ignoring these things or blowing them off as "fake" doesn't prove they didn't happen, but rather proves that you're blindly licking Trump's ass crack.

Steve Schmidt (Bush administration and McCain campaign): Today the GOP has become a danger to our democracy and values.

George Will (conservative columnist): "It is up to the public to quarantine this presidency by insistently communicating to its elected representatives a steady, rational fear of this man whose combination of impulsivity and credulity render him uniquely unfit to take the nation into a military conflict."

Joe Scarborough (Former Republican Congressman): "Think about it. If you're Donald Trump and...you're attacking allies all over the world. You're attacking the media. You're employing the same that Stalin used: calling the media 'enemies. You're making outrageous racist comments... in the White House... You send out a flurry of outrageous tweets every day. Well, there is a method to that madness. It is what dictators use."

Richard Painter (Bush administration) "When he says 'the fake news,' 'the lying press,' you put that side by side with certain things Hitler said about the press. It's very scary rhetoric."

Rick Wilson (conservative columnist and Republican media strategist): Author of the new book "Everything Trump Touches Dies."

Thinking people don't like Trump just because he won is one of the dumbest oversimplifications out there. Maybe YOU'RE that petty and you assume other people are, but it isn't true. At all. If people with their heads up Trump's butt were able to recognize reality, they'd know there are actual reasons.

Are people seriously unaware of his consistent praise of dictators for their "strength," consistent downplaying of Russian meddling, consistent blatant lying that somehow he gets away with in the face of reality even when his allies call him out on it, and consistent disdain coupled with either a dishonest or delusional attempt to discredit any opposition to him?

The man has literally outright lied or is delusional about the popular vote, implying it's fake and continually pushing the blatantly false accusation of mass voter fraud, something even Republicans acknowledge that not only he's wrong about, but that he endangers the entire political process by trying to legitimize it?

He lies so much it's tiring. Just a drop in the bucket is his calling anyone who opposes him "Democrats," including Republican-appointed investigators. The man is either a liar or delusional, and the fact anyone is foolish enough to fall for his antics is disturbing. Notice how quickly they turn on any Republicans who oppose what he's doing. He is following all of the classic patterns would-be dictators use.

The man literally defended torture, something that anyone that holds real American values should condemn unconditionally like the hero John McCain does.

He really should not be underestimated.

Sit back and read through his entire Twitter feed (which I read because ignoring him is far more dangerous). The guy is nuts.

The idea Russia rigged the election is a conspiracy theory but the conspiracy fact that Israel and AIPAC interfere in every US election and every US president is beholden to Israel is just completely ignored by everyone.

Can you imagine the furore if dual-citizen Russians were entrenched throughout the US establishment? It would never be allowed. But dual-citizen Israelis? A country which has spied on the US, stolen its secrets and bombed the USS Liberty on purpose... that's all fine!

What is so terrible about Trump being conciliatory towards Russia and thus helping the cause of world peace? I know some Americans love war but for those of us living in Europe, who usually have to bear the brunt of these wars one way or the other, we'd quite like peace to break out.
