if they revealed themselves to the muggles. If both societies helped each other in various aspects, everyone would win rather than having to live in hiding forever.

They're wise to the fact that it would create problems because essentially there will be classism and the wizarding world will always have more power

especially once they integrate into modern tech as well

Historically, things don't go well for wizards and witches who break the statute of secrecy. The Salem witch trials actually happened in HP and anti-magic paranoia has persisted for more than a century in its wake. Then there's what happened to Ariana Dumbledore.

Long story short, they have plenty of reasons to fear being discovered by normal people.

But if the were more opened to muggles then those things wouldn't happen or at least a lot less than they did.

They don't happen in the modern world now, in large part because the world governments conspire alongside wizarding governments to cover up the existence of magic. Arthur Weasley is actually an agent of the Ministry of Magic who cleans up after public exposure to magic and rewrites the memories of muggles who discover magic.

Wizards are also, by and large, extremely ignorant of modern muggle society. As hollow_shrine mentioned, Arthur Weasley's job was to interact with muggles and he was still extremely ignorant about their technology.
