Like, this is real tea. Why is anyone asking Scarlet Johansson to portray that person in particular. They have nothing in common. What is even the point of casting her if you're just going to put her in a fat suit and digitally add weight to her. Like, maybe she gave an amazing audition performance and they just had to acquiesce. I don't know. This makes no sense. It happens; celebrities can have moments of ethical self-reflection too. And this wouldn't be the first case of this sort of turnaround to happen. Not saying Johansson deserves a public award for morally questioning herself, but it's not a first time this has occurred in the world of acting. Although she might still get some flack for not drawing the same line when it came to accepting a lead role in Ghost in a Shell 2017. I wonder if part of the reason she's more wary of "appropriating" roles now is the past criticism she got before.
