He hates robots because of his son and thinks they have no emotions or empathy and that they fake emotions and pain. But Connor seems to be the only android he holds to any standard.

If Connor kills the two girls or Chloe, why would Hank care about a machine killing another machine? Chloe had no fear or any kind of reaction to having a gun in her face.

I mean, he outright tells you if you kill them after, in a later scene. (the two girls anyway) His perception clearly changes on seeing them and the other stuff going on. Conner can influence it as well potentially.

Hank is a good and thoughtful person.

IMO, he never hated androids. He got super fucking angry at the one that didn't save his son, and maybe even convinced himself all androids are pieces of shit. But, Hank is a good person and being 1-on-1 with Connor, who he very quickly realizes is more than just a machine snaps him out of the haze he's in.

IMO, he never hated androids. He got super fucking angry at the one that didn't save his son, and maybe even convinced himself all androids are pieces of shit. But, Hank is a good person and being 1-on-1 with Connor, who he very quickly realizes is more than just a machine snaps him out of the haze he's in.

I never saw that part, but what we did see was an android upset that we killed her lover. So I always thought Hank was really morally disturbed when we killed her afterwards and thought that androids were more like humans. Especially with my Connor always getting disturbed and confused about what was happening. I died for some random reasons. I never did find out about his son, probably cause of the deaths Connor had.
