NCIS loved the monitor thing.
One episode had some plot about some computer virus slowly penetrating the Pentagon firewall and would leak top secret documents, or something like that, and Gibbs managed to find the computer where the virus was located just seconds before it could breach the firewall.
McGee started to say some Linux commands over the phone when Gibbs shoots the monitor and stops the virus.

An episode of CSI had a computer that didnt boot because the suspect had hid a gun inside the PC tower.

In order to stop the spread of this malicious virus, Superman had to manually fly a 3.5" floppy disk with the antidote to three major backbone servers.

CSI: New York: I'll create a GUI interface using Visual Basic, see if I can track an IP address.

Another episode of NCIS had the team recover a micro SD card and, fearing it had a virus on it but still needing to see its contents, decide to open it using a laptop that's been "isolated"... by being put in a glass box. Then the virus still spreads through the power cable.

In the classic MacGyver, some girl somehow hacks a building's systems and makes elevators go to the wrong floor, alarms go off, printers start printing out things people haven't sent to the printer, photocopiers shoot paper out all over place,etc. Then she turns the lights off and escapes.

I don't think I've ever seen a good VG-themed episode on a procedural, or anything, really. There are some old X-Files episodes that are especially embarassing, and I seem to remember one or two crappy SVU ones in that vein.

I remember that VR one where Scully was complaining about video games but Mulder thought they were alright. And they brought some Japanese dude in to test the game and called him the best gamer in the world. But I think he ended up dying.

The episode starts with David making goofy faces as he plays Game Boy by the campfire. As his handheld emits sounds effects that clearly belong to the Nintendo classic Donkey Kong, David frets that he needs to get a key. This scenario is interesting for a couple of reasons. First of all, while there was a Game Boy version of Donkey Kong and while did it feature keys, it didn't come out until 1994, two years after this episode aired. Second, it was damn near impossible to play Game Boy in those sort of lighting conditions, because the system didn't have an illuminated screen. So if the first issue seems eerily prophetic, the second one proves that it was anything but; the writers knew absolutely dick about video games. This is illustrated again moments later when Eric walks by an accidentally hits the reset button on the front of David's Game Boy. You know, the one that DOESN'T FUCKING EXIST. After that, David cries like a bitch about how he'll never get the key, then Frank grabs the Game Boy and starts playing.
