The stealth mechanics are pretty decent but the combat is fucking jank as hell and for some stupid reason they force it on you over and over

So many instances where even if you sneak around and silent kill everyone it'll just send a Left 4 Dead style mob at you once you cross an invisible line.

I dont mind having to do combat if you're bad at being stealthy, but forcing it when you were doing well is fucking whack.

Excluding boss fights or parts like when joel was tied upside down.

Nothing jank about it.

I usually used stealth as much as I could, but some of the best moments of the game came when you got caught and the shit hit the fan. All stealth would have messed with the perfect pacing. They really balanced it out letting you sneak around a ton of areas including all the final ones, but had they never forced you to fight, getting caught later on when you're going against multiple bloaters or just swarms of bad guys you wouldn't have been ready for that.
