All you end up doing is causing unneeded harm to their surviving love ones. Correct It's less about the deceased person themselves and more about showing a baseline level of respect and sympathy to the loved ones who just lost a close friend/family member. Don't be an asshole. You have the rest of your life to bring up criticisms and talk shit and discuss all the issues you had with the guy, but at LEAST have the decency to give the friends and family (and in this case followers) a brief period to grieve and recover.
