Yeah overall I'd call PoE a misfire. The grind is bad and the Plains themselves aren't interesting enough for me to want to do it. I haven't gone there in months.

The plains was a good idea with awful execution, allegedly DE learned from this and wont do the same grindfest bullshit with Fortuna, but i'm holding my breath on that.

One of the developers Steve already responded about that. He acknowledged that PoE was a terrible grind and that Fortuna won't be the same

I'm the opposite. Most of the missions on the plains are annoying af. I'd like to make a Zaw but I hate trying to complete missions to get standing. Especially those "get the caches but I can't pinpoint where they are" and "follow the bot" missions. I dunno why, but they just annoy me.

From the Tennocon stream I watched and a two part documentary on DE someone posted earlier in this thread, I think, it seems that DE genuinely cares about their consumers and want to deliver the product that they enjoy. So it seems they really do listen.

Oh for sure. They're the anti-bungie. If something gets fucked up with a new patch they fix it within a couple days tops. Theres been a few thing IIRC that still has slipped through the cracks but they usually aren't major.

At the same time I also applaud them for standing to their guns. A lot of people got up in arms with the UI cursor update (terrible for consoles) but they still stuck by it because they wanted as close to the same experience for both console and PC as it makes things easier for them when they roll out new patches.

Also Space Mom and Meg are hot and Steve is so lovable

Very, very terrible. I remember the day a turned my Xbox1 on and was like "wtf is this?" I really disliked it. But I have finally become accustom to it, even though I really like the way it was before. Not worth bitching about though ... well I guess I am now lol. Anyway, yeah it's a minor thing that I can get use to. Otherwise they are top notch developers. I am glad this is the first free to play game I tired. Really good experience so far.

I was watching Totalbiscuit's original WTF on this last night and it's amazing how far this game has come just on gameplay mechanics alone. From having a stamina system and no parkour, having no real melee system to speak of, and hell just the UI.

There's no way the game would have survived if it had stayed like it was.

Yeah I saw an update he did on it a few years later. It's amazing how much influence he had on the game's success. I actually didn't know that until I saw Rebb and Megan announcing his passing and I went back and looked into it.

Off the top of my head I roll

70 Duration
130 Efficiency
200-250 Range
130-200 Strength

If you're doing a mission with lvl 1-30 enemies, a 150-200 str Miasma will be good enough to nuke everything. If you want to spore everything at those levels you'll have to go 130ish str so that spores don't kill them outright. Also at that level range you'll want to Spore then Miasma afterwards because enemies affected with Miasma will spread spores on death.

When you start hitting the lv50+ range enemies you'll want at least 150 str for your spores. More if you do endless missions and start dipping into the lv100+ range. But range is King because more range means more spread means more spore ramping damage.

You really don't need that much duration. Even at 70 duration you get Toxic Lash for 20ish seconds which is good enough.

Use overextended. Then use Transient Fortitude, Intensify and maybe augur secrets and/or power drift in exilus slot depending on enemy levels. Top off with streamline, stretch, augur reach maybe. Lv 1-30 you don't really need vitality and Regen Molt so you can just pack everything into range and power strength.

You really want range mostly if its for spores, more str if its for miasma too since spores scale infinitely so power mostly helps with the recast decay mostly.
