ignorance - unskilled workers thinking they are entitled to be paid more than min wage. achieves this by willingly signing up for a job with no set pay. expects customers to not question the scam and just pay up.

fear - worried that if you don't do what they demand, they will mess with your food or go out of their way to give you bad service in the future.

Because being selfless and knowing that it might contribute in a small way to someone having a good day, or pick someone up from a bad day, or even just give them a couple bucks to treat themselves to like some ice cream or some shit, feels good

I dont like when they see me tipping generously tho. Generally I try to leave money for my bartender or server and be out before they collect it.

I tip because I appreciate quality service. I worked for tips as well at my previous job. No one was required to pay, but the money came when they received quality service.
