I suppose I should have walked out of this particular theater when I realized that they weren't putting english subtitles for the Spanish conversations, and nearly the entire movie is in Spanish. That pissed me off to no end. I got the gist of the whole thing but still. I didn't know the movie was gonna be all spanish, I just kept watching and then it was too late for me to get up but goddamn I feel cheated.

And the actual movie was rather awful anyway so I don't care to get it on dvd and rewatch it to see what the hell they were saying in Spanish.

To be fair I only really liked Sicario 1 for emily blunt. Oh and benecio del Toro. Oh and Josh brolin. But here in this movie there's no emily blunt or emily blunt type character. I feel like maybe we could have gotten to like the girl but they never really give her much to do. Talk about a cliche, this movie is also doing the ruff tuff gruff protagonist and little girl they're protecting? Really? I didn't even like it when good movies like Logan or war for planet apes did it, I certainly don't think this kinda movie would change anyone's mind. I mean good god it's an anime trope for crying out loud. That's rock bottom that is.

I still wtf at sicario getting a sequel anyway, that was a bizarre news story that I thought was an April fool's joke or something. And the sequel is definitely missing something.
