I fear this may be happening to me, and I don't like it. I use to be in wonder of games, but it is becoming more difficult for a game to awe me. I miss the splendor.

Same thing happened to me years ago. I pretty much only play Overwatch whenever Im in the mood. I also like watching Lets Plays occasionally.
But yeah, video games were once my life and Im sorta glad theyre not anymore

It happens.

For me it was right around 2005-2006 when the gamecubes library sucked terribly and every good game had already came out leaving me with effectively nothing but garbage titles. Played every 1st party game and any 3rd party game that looked halfway decent.

Played Tales of Vesperia for xbox360 in 2008, maybe 2009?

Then played competitive SSB Melee and project M for a year or two.... now I havent even picked up a controller in 6 months.

I'm getting like this too. I only have a few games I play anymore and it's probably because they're sort of social games. Whenever I try something else they just don't hold my interest. I stopped playing franchises I enjoyed like Mario Kart and Smash because I just played them to death.
