I find the older I get, the less I consume. Not really because of a conscious choice--I just have no desire to eat it. It is pretty gross when you really think about it, and it isn't really healthy (particularly when compared with plant-based proteins).

Imagine thinking less of someone because of what they eat. I suggest spending less time in online echo-chambers.

Red meat and processed meats are bad for you. Other forms are okay, but a plant-based alternative can provide the same level of protein with less saturated fat and more vitamins/minerals.

fish is the only meat without major drawbacks (not counting pollution, but that's our fault and not the fish being inherently bad)
even poultry is carcinogenic. forget mammalian meat, which is basically responsible for almost all heart disease and a hundred other things

I rarely eat red meat anymore. I don't think I'd ever be able to go vegetarian though since I love chicken too much.

Grass fed red meats are the second healthiest form of protein after wild caught fish. After which comes poultry and pork. Processed meats are complete trash. There is nothing unhealthy about saturated fats provided it comes from healthy sources.

Fish is loaded with heavy metals and is largely carcinogenic.
Saturated is 100% bad for you--doesnt matter the source. The chemical structure of saturated fat causes it to solidify at room temperature (thereby clogging your arteries). The healthy form of fat is monosaturated (oils) which are liquid at room temperature and can easily pass through the body.
