I liked the Star Fox series, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Metroid Fusion. Star Trek Online and Entropia Universe were okay but I couldn't really get far in those games. EVE Online was okay but not really interactive. Elite Dangerous made me dizzy.

I'm just seeing if you have any good recommendations....

Star Ocean: The Second Story is the best of the series.

Don't have anything new to add, but I love FTL: Faster Than Light, Stellaris, and Mass Effect.

FTL is a rogue-like where you control a single federation vessel carrying vital intel across hostile space. You encounter a host of events, choices, and space battles, which often play out very differently depending on your crew and equipment.

Stellaris is one of this generation's foremost Space 4Xs. You basically create your own race and play as them. You aren't the first to the stars: many have come and gone after you, and left various oddities behind. Darker things still exist, and there is a Worm That Waits(or was it waiting? Or will it be waiting?) You have a lot of lee-way in terms of how to develop your civilization, but if you're looking for a game with well-defined races, this isn't it(unless you bring your own).

Mass Effect is BioWare's space property. It was originally a fusion of BioWare RPG and third-person shooter, but the latter element increasingly superseded the former(for the best, IMO, but many disagree). It's a rich world that stars you as Commander Shepard on your quest to save the galaxy from the mysterious menace known only as "The Reapers".

Recently finished Project Sylpheed, not bad but amazing either.

I've been on the fence about buying this for a while. Is it really that good? Is it scary?

I could see someone getting scared by the game but I didnt think so personally. Its very tense.

I love the atomisphere, the environments, the art style, characters, story, gameplay. It just completely connects with me.

If you like any System / Bio Shock or Deus Ex style game you will definitely love this.
