Admittedly don't know much about computers, but I'm thinking about this model:
https://tinyurl.com/y9mwj5xs which comes with a 256 GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, and Intel 7th Gen Core i5-7300HQ, or: https://tinyurl.com/ycz7joy2 which has a 1TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, and Intel 8th Gen Core i5-8300H. I'd like something that can run current-ish games on low-mid settings with a decent framerate. I'd like to spend no more than $800 at maximum. Should I bother with either of these? I get the impression that the processors aren't great, but I could be wrong. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I have one with slightly worse specs than those and it runs basically anything I throw at it in 720p60fps with no problem, excluding Tales of Zestiria. That game's PC port was made by Satan himself, though, so I'm not too bothered about it.

gtx 1050 and 1060 are pretty much the go-to budget mobile GPUs. You'll get good performance in unreal engine 4 games
