No, they can complain. Especially if they are not allowed to vote.

I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this who will count the votes, and how.

I used to think that way but when the election makes you choose between two bowls of shit that might win and a bunch of smaller bowls of shit that have no chance of winning, I understand why people don't vote.

This past presidential election, I didn't vote simply because the two choices that actually had a chance of the Presidency were both horrible options.

The two-party system needs to die but it never will.

The only reason I didn't vote in local elections recently was because I didn't realize the polling place had changed recently, and I couldn't get a ride to the new location. But my vote wouldn't have mattered anyway, because it would have been in the opposite of the direction in which my state heavily leans.

Of course. It's bad enough the system is rigged by the retirees -- the least they could do is make voting day a national holiday.

I think people who didn't vote b/c they despised the options given to them have way more right to complain than the people who voted for the politicians that won and turned out to be so awful that now even their own voters want to complain about them.

And yeah, 2016 was basically the "fuck you, millennials!" election. Both of them were like under 20% favorability w/ people 30 and under. I don't blame people who didn't want to vote that year, it was an amazingly terrible pair of choices. I still think it's best to vote just to show you're not just lazy/apathetic, and you genuinely do just HATE the main candidates. I voted for Gary Johnson. He had no chance, but he's at least decent and honest.
