The rumor from the management at my work is the following: the head of HR wants to punish people for taking their PTO as sick days. For every unplanned day of PTO part of your year end bonus will be deducted.

What kind of evil ass garbage is this?!

Sick pay isnt PTO its sick pay and it shouldnt be looked at as vacation time.

But punishing people for using sick pay is very evil and stupid.

It is for our company. We don't get sick days. We get PTO only. At the start of the year we get 2 PTO days, and then every month we get another 2. For a total of 26 PTO days, which before with the old head of HR could be used however we wish. As long as you don't have a pattern of calling in sick.
