He ran out of air underwater. This was a elite diver pro. And they are trying to teach the boys how to dive when some of them can't even swim. I am wondering if not all these boys will survive

Why don't they just use bombs to either blow open the cave or blow down from the top? This really seems to be an easier solution than they are making it out to be.

I don't think it's monsoon season yet. I think the rains just came early. I spent June and July in Thailand in 2013 and it certainly wasn't monsoon season yet.

Still, something like that is going to be very dangerous (you could cause a cave in that crushes them all) and would take a long time. Especially if you're trying to be careful, which they sure as hell would have to be.

Honestly even without any environmental considerations that sounds like a bad idea to me.

You're not caving in anything since you don't blow completely into the cavern.

They don't believe the SEAL ran out of air while diving. Also this was a freak accident. They were exploring when a surprise flood washed them in. 5 hours though.. they must have already been really deep in when the water hit.

While we're discussing uneducated theoretical solutions to the problem, would they be able to pump air into the cave and let pressure force the water out?

You could also just drill a horizontal hole to feed TNT BELOW the caves/tunnels and let the water drain into explosively made caverns. Then the kids can just fucking walk out.
