I go ~23 hours every single day without eating.

i fast normally 16 hours throughout the week. sometimes a 24 hour. it's not that bad.

No, its not. It promotes autophagy which is the bodys self cleaning system. When your body doesnt have a constant influx of food and shit to deal with all day long it will seek out dead cells, crud languishing around in the intestines, and even cancer cells. It will consume them for food. Of course the primary source of energy is fat.

Our ansestors for billions of years did not eat three meals a day. That trend is only a few hundred years old at best. Our bodies evolved to eat sparingly, and they sure as hell didnt evolve to eat Oreos and pizza.

Autophagy cleans up the crap people put into their bodies.

Ghrelin is the hormone that causes hunger. Ghrelin is at its highest when the body is used to food. For most people it spikes in the morning, noon, and evening. The longer you do intermittent fasting the less ghrelin that is released at those times until eventually it doesnt even trigger anymore. I only eat one meal a day, but I dont get hungry until the evening when my body has learned to expect food.
