if you post your topic on a super active board like movies, you either get 0 votes and are buried at the bottom... or you post that same topic on a different day, different time... and suddenly you have 4000 upvotes and like 500 comments? What? The? Fuck?

The trick is to post something controversial.

My highest voted post was a picture relating to open carry in Texas. People lost their minds but I reaped some good karma from it.

Well I mean I never bothered to care about trying the slots or roulette when going to casinos so it's just a rough estimate of the experience.

As for reddit it's just unfathomable. I can't be the only one out of the thousands of people on that same sub that wonder, what is the deal here? What is up with this sub and its inhabitants?

And yet time and again the posts prove that I seem to be the only one thinking that.

I guess what really sucks is that it's like ce only with the power of thumbs up and down. So imagine a place with the same crap that the cretins of this garbage dump like such as sensational news and the like which gets lots of thumbs up and is always on the front page. Meanwhile any other topic gets buried and you cannot bump your topic, you have to repost it and try the odds again. The lack of bumping means you can't force people to see your much better topic that wants to discuss something, such as a movie, video game, tv show or even youtube series.

So it's a gamble, for when the first couple of actually good human beings start thumbs upping your topic, which has it stay on the first page, and then hopefully a chain effect starts happening where the more people thumbs up it, the more people will see it and thumbs up it. That way you get to read a diversified amount of opinions by different people on the topic you want to discuss.
