The beef dogs are better, however, I've had bison and salmon dogs which are better than beef dogs.

Yes, and usually. For example, regular Ball Parks are basically inedible, but their beef dogs are okay. Depends on the brand as well, bog standard Oscar Mayers are fine.

Absolutely. Taste and texture are very different. I generally won't eat them if they aren't all beef. Not that the others are gross. I'm just not a big fan of hot dogs to begin with. So if isn't the good ones I'm not going to bother with them.
