It's dumb because it's just a way to shift liability if something goes wrong. Ooops, a client died? I heard they apparently take more than one sample at a time to test. Most of the time, it wasn't actually a person's fault. But they still had to... I mean, it's also usually not a death. Just if something big happens. Yeah, most jobs have the policy but rarely do actual random testing. They typically only test those they suspect and want to get rid of or those involved in an incident. The last place I worked never tested anyone until they got complaints about one of the guards coming to work high. So they "randomly" tested him and one other guard. The other one was someone who they knew would test clean so it wouldn't look like they were targeting the other guy. About a month later they tested two more.
