Gun control, A great example of the "you only have two choices" mentality. One side refuses any kind of control whatsoever. The other side isn't prepared to stop until they reach a total ban (though they're quite happy to slowly take steps towards that goal, at least). #metoo, A typical attempt to make a problem seem worse than it is by abusing the availability heuristic. Trump, It says a lot when all viable candidates are so bad that someone like Trump is literally the least bad option. LGBTQ rights, They were fine, then suddenly Tumblrinas decide to start blowing the issue out of proportion, and trying to equate their made-up fad sexualities and genders with real LGBTI issues, which caused a reactionary movement that's how harming genuine LGBT. police shootings, There's been ONE case that I know of so far that wasn't 100% justified (or at least close to it), Philandro Castile. Someone here mentioned another, and given that they weren't like "uhh you fucking racist none of them were justified" about it, it might have been legitimate (and simply a case I haven't heard of). immigration... Shitty situation, but let's not forget the Supreme Court ruling saying that not seperating the kids from their parents was a human rights violation. Which, by the way, happened under a liberal-leaning Supreme Court during the term of a liberal president. I guess the liberals expected that getting such a decision would result in "they'll have to be let in", and didn't consider that other options existed. Honestly, they just need to make the legal immigration process a bit more reasonable, then there'll be no valid reason to immigrate illegally. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
