Only if the fireworks themselves are Illegal or if they're setting them off past the local noise ordinance. After all, these are the people who are the bastion of law and order.

My local ordinance is 85 decibels from 10 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and higher than 135 decibels during other hours of the day.

Here is a chart for determining decibal ratings, but fireworks are definitely going to be over any noise ordinance's limit by a lot. They're typically 140-150+ decibals which is why you should wear ear protection when enjoying a legal fireworks display at a local park or something.



Really, anything over 90 you should have hearing protection, and when you get up into the higher end of the spectrum you need double protection (ear plugs covered by sound dampening ear muffs like the approved 3M ones)

fireworks are illegal in my state aside from Sparklers and those weird snake-worm things. we can buy them, but have to sign a thing promising a cop that we'll take them out of state before using them

I don't even call the police when I hear gunshots. Fuck Trump supporters, but calling the police is just going to be more of a hassle for me than them.
