Long story short, my grandma won a lawsuit, got a lot of money, and she wants us kids to start a business or something

I posted this topic before asking for ideas but now I finally have an idea!

I'm gonna make a tie and accessories store,
I'm so sick of going into a store and seeing these boss ass ties and they cost $100<

Like wtf?

You may not notice, but I'm a bit of a tie guy, I'm finna start my own collection
but all the good shit is like a lot, which sucks.

So I'm gonna make a tie themed store that sells ties and other accessories to make you look fancy on the deep low

and I'm gonna call it Tietan, watchu guys think?

As a bit of a tie connoisseur myself, I would be interested to hear more about your plans. I have about 50 ties, some expensive ($100+), some medium price range ($30-40), and quite a few cheap ones manufactured in China ($3-5 per tie with free shipping!).

As far as accessories go, I wouldn't invest too heavily in squares or tiepins. They aren't used by the majority of people, and if your goal is to provide cheap prices, that's a totally different market from the one that would be typically interested in accessorizing their wardrobe.

Where are you sourcing your ties from? or are you making them yourself?

It's pretty easy to sew a tie and you could make a lot more by selling unique handcrafted ties.

Whoa, good memory :o

So yeah my grandmother wanted us to do it as a family, but we all have different ideas and ambitions. So she said something like, "show me you're serious and have a good idea and I'll give more money to you" or something similar to that.

So she gave us all $500 but it was bad timing for me since I had a trip to England recently and spent more than I could handle so I'm currently down to ~$150 :(

also, the place were I worked at is getting remodeled and since I don't have a car to drive to a different store I'm currently out of a job :'(
