Because Trump repeatedly threatened to blow it up. there was already a long-running pair of issues with NK: 1) they were illegally developing both medium/long range missiles and miniaturization tech for their illegally developed nuclear weapons. it wasn't until trump's admin that they tested the hwasong-3, but they had tested others. i still remain a skeptic because we cannot truly know what the payload mass of those tests was, and the underlying design was that of a MRBM--just bigger. 2) china was bankrolling them. trump was successful in addressing #2, at least short-term, which forced at least a temporary shift on #1. he then pissed that goodwill away, so most likely we'll return to the status quo with less capability to address in the future since once we have removed him from office the US could eventually elect another republican cowboy who'll burn any new agreements in the future. --- And when the hourglass has run out, eternity asks you about only one thing: whether you have lived in despair or not. <cite>Darkman124 posted [p:904418101] in Trump fail...
