Just came back into the office not remembering if I even had any real work to do. So far I have received one email so I sent out another email to get an answer to it and I'll relay it back.

Earlier I went to get coffee in the breakroom but the water from the filter came out red so I can't drink any water or coffee today.

I am just massively unhappy

I think it may be.

My job is just fucking soulless. I went from my own big office into a cubicle with the rest of the engineering team, my boss will walk right by us without saying good morning or anything and almost exclusively sends orders via email. After his three favorite employees all quit he became much more isolated (and everyone here as told me that on their own too, it's not just me). I get my work done so fucking fast that for the most part I just sit here and try to pretend to look busy.

The saddest thing is that I genuinely enjoyed learning in college and now I feel like my education is eroding, I am being dumbed down every day.

I get how you feel tc. I just got back from a two week break last week, and I feel so burned out in my job that I actually hate being here now. I'm rarely kept busy, I don't do the role I joined this company to do anymore thanks to a restructuring, and if I am busy it's either, because I have to help out another team that is overworked because several teams here are severely understaffed, or because its time for main enrolment or exams, two periods in the year I've grown to hate.

I don't feel like I'm being well utilised, I'm not earning enough, and I'm sick of the team I'm supposed to be a part of basically not existing as staff we hire keep getting taken away to help out other teams, and we haven't made our name change official since we were restructured *last year*, so loads of people still think we are and call us the old team.

I need to get another job quite badly.

Just got an email from my boss to order equivalent parts from a project that's six years old with nothing but a PID that might not even be accurate.

I dumped the work on the other engineer that has been here for 20 years and he doesn't know what the fuck we actually need either.
