I keep seeing this ad on tv warning about something called like Menengitis or something. it kills teens supposedly and is spread through saliva. and it shows all these highschool kids taking bites out of food and sips of drinks and then passing them to friends. even ones the same gender. it's weird. I thought most people were grossed out by that

when I was in high school, I used to often buy fries, and my friends usually took some of them, or would ask to have a sip of my soda

edit: we'd also pass weed around.

even ones the same gender

I'm more confused by this line than anything else. Don't you mean the opposite gender?

Also meningitis is the kissing disease, but modern medicine can treat it so it's not the end thankfully.

Not sure about a lot of what you're assuming

All the time. Hell I do it with adult friends and family too. Certain ones though.

maybe it's not meningitis. I need to see the ad again

and no, I meant same gender. teens usually don't want to swap spit with the same gender, but they will eagerly do it with the opposite

Nah normally when teens share food, first one eats what's left, then the other takes a few bites.

yes. double dip, bite from same sandwich, drink from same bottles. etc. I do that now with friends too (real friends I mean, not someone that I just know or see now and then)

What, no. Why would they be eager, these are teens and more likely to worry about stuff like cooties, acting awkward, etc

I think the average teenager is between 13 and 19 instead of between 4 and 7.
