I'm losing my job in two days. Manager basically told me that I wasn't doing good enough, and I'm easily replaceable.

My dad's kicking me out within the next few weeks. I had gotten this job just in time for me to move out before he threw all my shit outside.

Now that's not possible. I will literally be homeless unless I can find a full time job within the next week. Which is practically impossible.

I'm gonna be amping up my job search and sending out resumes and walking into places like no tomorrow, but I'm really discouraged. I walked home in tears I don't know what to do ce.

I'm really scared, tell me it's gonna be okay :(

that sucks. Have you tried to talk to your manager and explain your situation? Maybe see if he will give you a second chance until you can find other work? Do you qualify for unemployment?

Have you asked your manager whether he would provide a reference? I know it seems odd, but just because you weren't a good fit for this position, that doesn't mean your manager won't help you find something else. It (usually)!doesn't hurt to ask.

Did you feel that you were doing a good job? If there was a disconnect between how you thought you were doing and how your manager thought you were doing, you need to evaluate why your perceptions were so different.

What is your field? Does it have good long-term prospects?

Is there any reasoning with your dad, such as presenting a plan of action and target date to move out? Is there any room for negotiation?

Do you have a network of friends? Is anyone looking for a roommate?

She says it's out of her hands, that it's a company wide policy. She wouldn't even be the one to fire me, it'd be the regional manager.

I just looked it up, and I'm not sure. I need to have worked 680 hours in my "base year," not sure what that means. If it includes my previous job then yes I will qualify, but if not then I won't because I only got this new job like two months ago
And also it has to be at no fault of my own. Ans I'm not sure if I qualify for that either since it would be my lack of preformance that'd do me over, not that I'm being laid off or something

Im pretty sure it should count the other job for the base year. Also in my experience the big thing they care about is that you prove you are looking for work so you have to provide proof you are applying for jobs and not getting work.

Yeah that's a good idea, I was thinking about that last night. If I can get a reference letter from my manager that'd be super helpful. I'll make sure to ask tomorrow

My manager thinks I'm doing fine for a new hire. In fact, none of the other employees reached the quota that I'm required to hit until they were 3-4 months in. I tried explaining that to my manager too but she said she has no control, which is BS imo but idk what to do about it.
I even brought up the fact that the other new hire is doing worse than I am, and that is it really possible to fire us both? She said she would have to.

I don't have a field, but I'm trying to stick to customer service. I'm planning on attending college in the winter/spring but I need to get settled first.

There is no reasoning with my dad. Absolutely none. He wants nothing to do with me. I am a leech in his eyes and he wants me out. Any attempt at talking to him about it will either A) end in him demanding hundreds of dollars or B) beating the shit out of me

And I honestly don't have it in me to fight him anymore. I can't. I'm done. He's shattered my soul into a million pieces. If I even tried I would just end up having a breakdown. I know myself and my limits. I can't take anymore.

No friends. No family. I have no one.

I'll see what I can do. I'm off Friday so I'll catch the bus to the local unemployment office and ask about it there. I'll get clearer answers if I talk to them in person

This is what is most likely going to happen until I can get back on my feet. I'm probably going to attend a university and get a dorm and just collect debt while I'm there in the winter just so I can get a break from this shit.

I'm gonna vote for the shelter because they should have resources to help you get back on your feet (to use your words). Buying a car may solve a temporary problem, but it doesn't provide you a long-term plan.
