Seeing all the hubaloo about the remake convinced me to dust off my PS2 and finally play the original game, so I'm grateful for that, at least.

Gameplay was neat, but that's about it. It looked nice, but eww 30 fps.
The characters were flat as fuck, lots of weapons were recycled from previous games, planets/levels were removed, music was bland, etc etc... It was really disappointing, really. :/

It was ok if you consider it to be a budget game like quest for booty or into the nexus. But if it was supposed to be a full fledged ratchet and clank game? Hell no. And the whole tying it to the movie would be cute if the movie was any good. At least it was cartoony and looked nice, and thankfully they didn't make it live action or too uncanny valley.

But yeah, not the best way to start the reboot, and I'm not even into the reboot idea either. Going commando is still the best from the original trilogy, while a crack in the time is the probably the best from the future trilogy (if you combine into the nexus and quest for booty, they make for one complete r&c game)

I'd say the series has run its course but I still have fun playing them for the most part as long as they retain colorful graphics and a lot of humor and actually fun weapons.
