That was me, and I would make them on Fridays when the episodes were airing new, but I stopped making them due to lack of interest.

The first two seasons of the reboot had plenty of returning veterans like Nightmare, Warhead, and Son Of Whyachi, but none of those three you mentioned though. Some older teams entered with new bots as well, like Team Hurtz (who fought with Killerhurtz in the original BattleBots and Terrorhurtz in UK Robot Wars) creating BETA.

Yeah, that was amazing. It's insane just how powerful some of these weapons have become after nearly two decades of technological advancement.

They did, but flame weapons barely do any actual damage. Complete Control won one single battle by clamping and burning an opponent at very close range, but besides that, they've been mostly useless and just for show. In fact, the most amazing moment involving a flamethrower bot was the bot setting itself on fire by accident.

i, for one, appreciated those topics and the effort you put into making them, and always tried to get around to reading through them even if i didn't actually post anything in them. the main thing that prevents me from participating in those topics is that i am currently unable to watch the episodes live, and by the time i am actually able to watch them, it just seems like i'm too late to the party.

a season-long general thread seems like a good idea, but it might be tricky keeping it from purging. this board moves fast.

They purge after like 2-3 days of inactivity, and I have plenty of gifs I've made from past season I can post to bump it. Wait, hold on. I just realized something. If we're really going through with this general topic idea, should we make a new one with a spoiler tag in the topic title so we don't have to keep using them in our posts?

i can't agree with this more. the new format for the match ups is much better than the arbitrary pre-seeded structure the last two seasons. and i like that they sometimes make an effort to have judges that have actual relevant qualifications for judging a bot match. that's still kinda spotty though. and the little skits they've been doing at the beginning of the eps have been great lol. like Kenny having the staredown with Huge, and the day in a life of Faruq.

It's fork lift driving time!

It was nice to see Grant as a judge on last week episode.
